Encouraging Christians

Encouraging Christians

William Barclay, one of the great Bible commentary writers of last century said, ‘One of the highest human duties is the duty of encouragement… It is easy to laugh at men’s ideals; it is easy to pour cold water on their enthusiasm; it is easy to discourage others. The world is full of discouragers. We have a Christian duty to encourage one another. Many a time a word of praise, thanks, appreciation or cheer has kept a man on his feet. Blessed is the man who speaks such a word.’

Encouragement – we all need it in our faith and in our walk with the LORD, we really do! And because we all need it, then we really need to give it!

In Hebrews 3:13 it says, ‘…encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called ‘Today,’…’ Cityview Church offers many reasons for Christians to come together for the purpose of spiritual encouragement. This March, we are launching our new monthly cell groups, which will meet on the first weekend of each month, for the purpose of encouraging spiritual growth.

If you are a member of Cityview Church, we invite you to become a part of one of these new cells.
