On Saturday the 18th April 2015, Cityview Church witnessed the delightful wedding service of its youth leaders, Jordan & Jacqui Robb. Jacqui looked absolutely radiant as she walked down the isle with her proud father Luke by her side. Jordan waited with much excitement and anticipation for his bride to join him at the altar. One of the most precious moments for me, was when Jordan lifted the veil from Jacqui’s face and Jacqui immediately moved toward Jordan for that first kiss in marriage. It was as if there was no one else in the church for her but Jordan! Jacqui had obviously spent so much time and preparation to be as beautiful as she possibly could be for her new husband; and now she was ready to kiss him with all the tenderness her heart could possibly muster. Her innocence, her radiant beauty brought tears to my eyes and reminded me of how one day Jesus will come to this earth to claim His bride, which of course is the CHURCH. As His church, we need to spend time and effort to prepare ourselves for His return. He’s coming again for an innocent bride – pure, spotless, radiating the glory of God. A bride who longs to spend eternity with their Creator & Saviour.
