Looking forward

Looking forward

New Year’s Day provides a valuable time to ponder the past while anticipating the future. When looking back over 2014 and forward to 2015 I am excited and grateful to be in the Kingdom of God, for both directions afford me a view of God’s goodness and faithfulness.

In Psalm 65:11 it says, “You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.” I am very grateful for God’s blessings in 2014, but I am convinced that 2015 we will be a year of harvest for this church. 2 Corinthians 9:10 says, “…He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness…”

It is God who gives the spiritual seed for us to sow and He is the one who causes that seed to grow so that we can harvest souls for Christ! But we must sow the seed! Keep sowing the seed, even when you feel the ground is hard and dry—don’t stop sowing for God will crown this year with a bountiful harvest which will overflow with abundance.
