Very close to where I live, there’s a beautiful lake, surrounded by a broad footpath, which regularly serves as my running track. The other day while running, I just happened to glance across the lake. There, to my amazement, was a white swan gracefully floating in the calm water! At first, I couldn’t believe my eyes; maybe it was a pelican or a big goose? The need to get a closer look compelled me to leave the footpath and run through the wet, tall grass to the edge of the lake. I was not disappointed; it was, without a doubt, a white swan!
I eagerly looked around to find someone, anyone, to share the moment with, but the park was devoid of people. I couldn’t keep this wonderful experience all to myself, it wouldn’t be right, others needed to know, see and experience this precious visitor! So out came my trusty camera, I snapped away and then ran, with my evidence, back home to share with my husband and parents. In no time, dad and mum were taking the dogs for a walk to the park with, of course, the purpose of seeing the white swan. Luke, was also soon driving by the lake to check out the unexpected visitor. My wonderful experience became theirs very quickly.
This whole episode reminded me of the most superbly, unique visitor this world has ever seen—Jesus! Jesus came to die for my wrong doing, so that I can have an eternal relationship with Him. This glorious relationship, the now living Christ has with me, is way too good to keep to myself. It wouldn’t be right; others need to know, see an experience this precious visitor for themselves. I have to tell them!
