Praying for our community
Cityview Church loves to pray. We consider it a privilege to take our prayers, petitions and concerns to our Heavenly Father. When it comes to prayer, Jesus is our example. He had a strong and intimate relationship with the Father through his prayer life. This fueled him, and was the basis for his public ministry of healing, deliverance and salvation. Likewise, Cityview Church believes that our relationship with our Heavenly Father, through prayer, is vital for the health and wellbeing of our Church. Every program, every department, every ministry, is founded on prayer.
In Colossians 4:2 the Apostle Paul tells the church to devote themselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Our Father in Heaven inclines His ear to our prayers and we are so grateful for the love that He pours out to us as he answers our prayers. The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18).
If you would like to join us for prayer, please check the events calendar to find a date and time. We invite you to be blessed and come and pray with us at any of these meetings.
Prayer Chain
Philippians 4:5-7 says “The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
God cares about you. No worry is too insignificant for His response. His word tells us that He encourages us to give all our cares and worries to Him through prayer. What a great God we serve. When you give your concerns to God, He will give you his peace in return. He calls that a fair exchange!
If you have worries and concerns that need a supernatural intervention from God, the Cityview Prayer Chain is ready to pray for you.
If you are a member of our Cityview Church congregation, then contact us with your prayer requests. your requests will be sent out immediately to our dedicated Prayer Chain members who will pray on your behalf.
One last thing: Once you have placed your prayer request with our team, let me encourage you to not dwell on your problem anymore, but to dwell on the answer – Jesus, the Prince of Peace, and be thankful. Amen!
