Scriptures
2 Chronicles 32:26 (NIV): Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years. He did evil in the eyes of the lord, following the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.
2 Chronicles 33:10 (NIV): The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they paid no attention.
2 Chronicles 33:12-13 (NIV): In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea, so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.
Acts 9:3-6 (NIV): As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you Lord?”, Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city and you will be told what you must do.”
Acts 7:60 (NIV): “….Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.
Matthew 5:43-44 (NIV): “You have heard it said, ‘Love thy neighbour and hate your enemy’. But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
Job 33: 14-18 (NIV): For God does speak – now one way, now another – though no one perceives it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword.”
